At eight o'clock the bird will cuckoo eight times). \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThere is also a manual night shut off switch that allows you to mute the cuckoo sound and stop the fisherman.  Two cast iron pinecone weights are suspended beneath the clock case by two separate brass chains.    The hand-made pendulum continuously swings back and forth controlling the timing of the clock.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e  The eight-day brass mechanical Regula movement is wound once per eight days by pulling the chains which raises the two pinecone weights.
